for loved ones, near and far
for a calico-angel cat
who visits our laps

for our garden, which bore us
delicious sustenance…
plums, pears, kale, chard, potatoes,
tomatoes, leeks, radishes and turnips

for hummingbirds, bees and bushtits
that frequented our foliage

for sitting meditation,
being with

for fragrant teas and Janettka’s
love pillows (they’re cookies!)
